There has been a lull in production on my part. What can I say? Life happens, and it can happen quickly and messily. At first, priorities needed to shift away from my writing for good reasons. Then, that became a shift in priorities because of undesirable circumstances.

In the end, the fog has cleared, allowing me to return home to port … battered and worn, but alive. The rough waters probably would have been better managed if I’d had Tashami on my ship, but we can’t all be as fortunate as Agnos.

I’m writing again, and in a big way. After a few years of managing maybe 12,000 words, during which were many spans of months where I didn’t write a single thing, I’ve finally sprinkled in several days in the past two weeks where I’ve reached 900-1,000 words for the day. And while that’s well off my 2017-2018 pace of 2.5k words per day, it’s a sign of progress.

Perhaps, the biggest sign of my return to form is this blog post itself. My last one was in April 2020, signaling a 4-year hiatus.

So, you know I’m writing again. And yes, don’t fret, as it’s the seventh and final book in the Erafeen series. All other projects (my two other series set in the same universe in which Erafeen also occupies) have been shelved until Erafeen is done.

Also, who’s ready to HEAR Erafeen come to life? While I may have stopped writing, I’ve been hard at work behind the scenes with a narrator to produce the first three novels in audiobook format. The project started in November 2022 and ended in November 2023. The Jestivan, The Untenable, and The Uprising are done, and the first audiobook releases March 29th! I’m going to make a more in-depth post about this in the coming days.

New artwork, too! That beautiful banner you see at the top of the blog? I’m sure there are people who want to guess what landmark it is in the Kuki Sphaira world. The golden atmosphere, luxurious decor, and three circling balconies should give it away. (It’s the Lilac Suites!)

More fun stuff to add to the Erafeen world of artwork: headshots and profile shots of our lovely Jestivan. Who are the Jestivan? Well, you can see them now (I’m posting the artwork below), but if you want to know more about them, make sure you grab a FREE EBOOK COPY of the first book in the series to fall in love with the cast. Consensus says you won’t regret it.

For those of my JestiFANS who pride themselves on their Erafeen knowledge, go ahead and try to name each one:

Those beautiful souls can also be seen gracing the home page of the website. After all, they are the stars (and based on Toshik’s headshot, a literal star).

I’m excited to get it rolling again. I’m 122.5k words deep in Erafeen #7. And while that may sound like a lot, the expected end count will probably range between 270k and 330k. I’d expect something along the lines of The Empires’ size.

Well, that’s all I got. IT’S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I’VE SIGNED OFF WITH THIS ONE, BUT:

Have an ethical day, readers.
